About Me
I have had an incredibly rewarding life and hope that I can use my experiences to help as many people as I possibly can. I grew up in Northern Virginia, in the shadows of our Nation's Capitol and the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. If you saw the movie "Remember the Titans", I went to one of the high schools (wonderful school) that merged into the TC Williams Titans; and received the very first degree from Virginia Tech in Computer Science. After a long career in the computer field I have moved on to other endeavors, such as helping people with Medicare plans.
I served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era doing a lot of classified computer work. Sounds like Imitation Game! I was actually named USAF Student of the Month and US Airman of the Month in 1965 for some of my contributions to improve our war effort.
I have always had a strong interest in music and still play percussion in the Savannah Winds and Low Country Wind Symphony concert bands. During my high school and college years, I was ranked the top student drummer in the state of Virginia. As a young boy growing up in Virginia and Maryland, I spent most weekends boating, fishing and crabbing the local waters. At one point, I was the boat buying agent for Southern Maryland Marine boat dealership.
I have always believed in giving back. Prior to moving to the Low Country, I coached Little League baseball for several years. I was the Baseball Commissioner of one of the largest Little League programs on the East Coast -- over 100 teams. After moving here, I have served as weekend managers at the Ronald McDonald House in Savannah. If you are ever looking for someplace to contribute, you can't do better then the Ronald McDonald House.
In addition to my work in Medicare, you can also occasionally find me in the Pharmacy at Kroger in Bluffton. I come at the Medicare thing from three different angles: as a licensed insurance producer; as a licensed pharmacy technician; and as someone who has been on the Medicare roster with different Medicare plans, both Supplement and Advantage plans.
